Cygate Academy and RIPE NCC collaborate in network training

Cygate, a leading Nordic provider of secured and managed network infrastructure solutions, today announced that Cygate Academy will be the first Finnish company to arrange a network training course held in cooperation with the RIPE Network Coordination Centre. The RIPE NCC is one of four Regional Internet Registries (RIRs) providing Internet resource allocations, registration services and co-ordination activities that support the operation of the Internet globally.
 
The course, designed for Internet routing professionals, will provide in-depth training on RPSL (Routing Policy Specification Language). Among other elements, the training includes guidance on building an Internet-wide routing database and on analyzing routing information.

"The course is run by highly experienced top network experts from RIPE NCC, who train the entire European ISP community on topics such as Internet regulations and IP address management," said Training Director Markku Selin, Cygate. "This course is a natural extension of our longstanding training partnerships with Finnish service providers. RIPE NCC and Cygate's combined expertise opens up a wealth of new opportunities for Finnish ISP's."

The RIPE NCC is an independent, not-for-profit membership organisation that supports the infrastructure of the Internet through technical co-ordination in its service region. The most prominent activity of the RIPE NCC is to act as the Regional Internet Registry (RIR) providing global Internet resources and related services to members in the RIPE service region. RIPE NCC has over 3,500 members, consisting of Internet Service Providers, telecommunication organisations and large corporations located in over 90 countries in Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and African countries north of the equator.

The joint course organised by RIPE NCC and Cygate Academy will be held at Cygate Academy premises in Lauttasaari, Helsinki, November 12th.
