2007-06-11 Swedish Competition Authority approves Cygates purchase of Dimension Data Sweden
The Swedish IT company Cygate, which previously purchased Måldata and Bravida Communications, has been given approval from the Swedish Competition Authority to acquire the Swedish operation Dimension Data Sweden of global systems integrator Dimension Data Holdings plc.
-Dimension Data Sweden is one of the leading actors within IP Telephony, IT Security, Broadband and IT Management. The purchase will strengthen our position within the area of secure IT infrastructure. Furthermore we will also continue to be the Swedish partner of Dimension Data Sweden’s parent company,” says Bengt Lundgren, CEO at Cygate.
After Swedish Competition Authority approval, Cygate aquires a company with 74 employees located in two offices in Stockholm and Malmö with a total revenue of 182 Million SEK during 2006. The integration of Dimension Data Sweden will be finished by October 1, 2007.
- I’m very enthusiatic about this purchase. It will create extra value to our customers as well as it is a step towards our goal - to double our revenue to one Billion SEK, before the end of 2009, says Bengt Lundgren.
Cygate today has 250 employees located in 15 offices in Sweden and Finland.
