Press Release - Cygate certified as Centre of Excellence

TANDBERG has certified Cygate’s Malmö office as a Centre of Excellence (CoE), making it the first TANDBERG CoE Partner in southern Sweden, including the Copenhagen area. There are many stringent requirements to become a CoE, not only encompassing equipment and the showroom, but also knowledge and capability.

TANDBERG now has around 30 state-of-the-art CoEs across Europe.

“Development in business video is accelerating. Demand is also increasing alongside environmental demands and travel restrictions at more and more companies. Solutions that were previously the reserve of large companies are now also available to far smaller businesses,” says Leif Fredrik Westengen, Senior Manager at TANDBERG.

 

Capability, equipment and showroom
There is a long list of strict criteria to fulfil to become a TANDBERG CoE Partner.

“There are three main focus areas: capability, demonstration equipment and premises, which jointly create a good overall experience. We will now be a showroom for all video technology from TANDBERG. At our new office in the Swedbank Stadion – a football stadium in Malmö, southern Sweden – customers will now be able to see and experience real business video. There is everything from basic equipment for PCs to our large conference room, which is specially adapted for Telepresence,” says Mikael Ryberg, Regional Manager at Cygate in Malmö.

Technology is soaring
The technology is also driving development in business video applications. Greater bandwidth, intelligent network technology and user-friendliness are all key in producing better systems. For instance, HD quality is now used.

“Adopting and using video is a question of behaviour patterns. When a video conference is easier than a telephone conference, it gradually becomes the preferred choice. Essentially all that’s needed nowadays is the push of a green button to quickly get connected on screen,” says Leif Fredrik Westengen of TANDBERG.

Cygate practises what it preaches. The company installed its first TANDBERG system two years ago, and there are now 100 video systems at 15 offices. And they certainly get put to good use with some 600 video conferences a month.

“However, what a lot of people discover over time is how much video conferencing improves efficiency. Meetings become quicker, more efficient and more personal,” explains Jessica Hammarström, Head of Product Management at Cygate.
